Statistics using Excel, a data type based approach

This is an introductory course on statistics for medical students, using Excel for practical applications. It is organized based on data types, that is, what kind of type of data one has at hand to analyze – categorical, ordered or numerical. Starting from the most general case, we progressively add properties to data, and more precise and powerful methods.

Given to its organization, it can also serve later as a reference for students on the procedures to analize data.
